I remember reading about protein cycling in one of my old body building books. You were instructed to go keto for 5 days. On the 6th day you can only eat fruit (no protein). Day 7 and beyond your instructed to increase calorie intake significantly and eat High Carb, high protein, moderate fat. They said just like your body with super compensate carbohydrates if you deplete and then load them your body will do the same thing with protein. Essentially 24 hours without protein will cause your body to become so sensitive to it that when you start consuming it the following day along with your added glycogen stores from the carb load and your extra calorie intake you can break through a plateau and build muscle at an accelerated rate.Thoughts? (My reference is Big Beyond Belief its PDF can be found online.)

I remember reading a book by Rob Regish who promoted this so I tried it once and found it wasn't effective.
