Hello, I was curious if you can address an issue that I am having while on Carb Nite Solution the past 12 weeks. I am 98 pounds. 4’10” and 43 years old, and I started at 28.9% body fat. I’ve been working out at least 4 days a week doing HIIT and strength training. I want to do a bikini competition in the future. I’ve been monitoring my nutrition on MFP and consuming 20 grams or less of carbs per day. Flash forward 12 weeks and my body fat went up to 29.1 and my lean muscle mass decreased from 72.7lbs to 67.4lbs. Why is this happening? This is so frustrating!
Hello! I’m sorry that I can’t help you but I’m replying because I’m having the same problem. So recently I bought Carb Backloading 1.0 and with that I’m gaining muscle instead of losing muscle but I’m also gaining fat! I’m 5’2, 117lbs, 24.5% body fat. I do three days per week heavy lifting (squats, overhead press, deadlifts, rows, bench press etc, 5×5 progressive overload) and 3 days per week targeted weight lifting. I add hiit for fun once per week. My goal is to get around 20% or under for fat and around 111 lb for competition at the end of October. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
