At least a 1g to 1g. You can go with more fat if you want. I personally dont use whey in accelerator anymore. I now put 12oz coffee in a pot, put a dash of cinamon, a TBSP of Coconut Oil, and 3 egg whites. Whisk it together violently for a about 30sec, and let it cook the egg for a few minutes, then poor it in my mug and go!

There are a few reasons why I put whey in it,1) because my muscles are quite often sore in the morning but not always2) I cannot stand coffee on its own without mixing it with something sweet3) Because Kiefer told me so (although I put more than he told me so xD)Thanks very much for your tip, I will now increase the amount of coconut milk I put into the mix. Since one scoop is 30g then I'll just put 30g of coconut milk in (1:1) to balance it out 🙂Interesting, egg whites in a shake? Might try that out one day. If you didn't mention cooking it I would've had it raw...

haha well as long as your coffee comes 144 degrees and up it will cook them. I use egg whites because I use Whey Hydro as PWO and don see the need to purchase Whey Iso just for shakes when Egg is just as digestible as Whey, not to mention cheaper. +whisking the egg makes a foam top that I love haha.

30g is a bit too much for the accelerator. 30ml of coconut milk will also not have sufficient fat to blunt the insulin response from such a load.

I think the 30g was in terms of fat and not protein correct? In which case 30g is more than needed, but not too much.Coconut Oil or Straight MCT are the best sources to get fat in the Accelerator. But as long as your 1:1 or >1:1 your fine.

30g meaning 1 scoop of protein powder; perhaps I should take half a scoop instead of 1 scoop (15g instead of 30g) and 30g/ml of coconut milk together with a teaspoon or two of coffee powder + a cup of water

Ok than 30g is 3x the amount you need. Follow the book for Protein in the Accelerator. 10g is proabably the most you should have. The only acceptation would be if you were AM training, and your first meal PWO were an accelerator. Than you CAN take 1 or 2 accelerators. Meaning a max of 20g. If your using he Accelerator as most do, (to break the fast) and hold off until your first solid meal. Than keep it to 10g Whey Iso, and 10g+ of fat.

If I was using WPI, I would have followed the book. However since its a blend with concentrate and isolate, I doubted it was exactly 10g of isolate. I do intend to cut that to 10-15g though xD I really use it to sweeten the coffee if I'm taking the AM shake while my muscles aren't sore.

10g protein is 10g protein  ;D concentrate is a little less broken down than isolate is all.

oh... oops..  ::)That's me being over intelligent  :-[

Previous brands I've tried didn't have measuring marks on the scoop; but the current one I have does! 😀Did the right amount this morning.I've just had another serving of protein for intra and pre workout (intra, coz I'm pre-training for my training tonight and hence pre workout); Supposed to be the Ignition Formula, but a little modified;I simply took 1 tbsp of coconut milk (15ml) in a small bowl, then 2 teaspoons (10ml) of protein and mixed it; OMG ITS SOOOO YUMMY! Like mousse. Should try it out! 😀 (well not exactly, I've actually forgotten what mousse looks and tastes like)
