Starbucks Latte

    I went to Starbucks this past weekend and had a short latte ( no sugar, just espresso with 2% milk) and then I added stevia.  My workouts on both Saturday and Sunday after this were so amazing…..my question is it ok to have a short (8 oz) latte per day…coming in at 9 grams of carbs? Or would this screw up my progress?  I do not find that a coffee has the same effect, not even close in terms of my output at the gym. Thoughts?

    I sometimes order a Tall Misto. Instead of %2 milk, ask them to make with heavy whipping cream. Normally I dont add sugar to it. I think overall its very low in carbs.

    I just wanted to keep the calories and fat down just prior to my workout……is the 8 0z…9 grams of carbs an absolute no no for me?

    As I understand it, caffeine only is the number one best pre-workout substance (caffeine powder) followed by coffee, followed coffee with fat only in it (heavy cream, coconut oil, butter, MCT oil), followed by anything else.Will only this one thing derail your goals? Probably not. Is it optimum? Probably not.

    I have just found a Starbucks espresso con panna which is espresso with a dollop of whipped cream….this would be a good alternative to a latte but stronger than a coffee.

    So Expresso con panna? Thats the official name? Sounds interesting.

    I like an americano with heavy whipping cream. Its actually an expresso with hot water added so the flavor of an espresso with the caffeine of a coffee. The whipped cream has 2 carbs but the whipping cream doesn't
