Hi!  I'm new to cns and seem to be having a tough time of it!  I know I likely did this to myself, as I've been on just about every diet you can think of!  I've been spoiled because usually I can go on a diet and lose weight, but lately I haven't been successful.  My recent attempt was with hcg….I lost about 10 lbs in 3 weeks and decided to switch to cns.  I wonder if doing this messed with my metabolism somehow.  The first 2 weeks on cns, i lost only 2 lbs.  The last lbs was only lost after removing nuts and dairy, so its been rough!  Carb nite came and it is 4 days later and I still seem to be holding onto that weight I initially lost.  My scale shows fat loss, but I'm really not sure if I can trust that!  My next Carb nite is Friday and I plan on sticking with it, but any advice for this newbie would be appreciated!,  thanks!

Welcome! It might be good if you start a log and post what you are eating so we can see where we might be able to help 🙂

Hi shrenlee!  Thanks for the advice!  Would I start that here or do I need to do that somewhere else?  Thanks!

Everyone I know who has tried hog, including myself a few years ago, had some messed up metabolisms when coming off.  It may just take a while to fix your thyroid before CNS will really work well.  A diet break may be in order of sensible food with slowly increasing calories.

And I just reread my post, which should say “hcg”  not “hog”.  But I'm guessing you figured it out:)

Have you tried eliminating gluten? That made a big difference in the post CN bloat for me. A log would be the best start since you can get more detailed information written out and therefore more detailed replies on a regular basis.
