I like to take supplements that I know actually do something. This is one.First off,I am not really a coffee drinker. For most of my adult life,I thought coffee was for losers. You know, for weak, impotent, unmotivated folks who get hooked and dependent on it and just can't get it up own their own.I'd see them at the convenience store and think "I bet they smoke 2 packs a day too. What a life!"I'd see a woman fixing her coffee at 7-11 and think "Nice teeth, coffee breath and probably cigarette breath, too.Kissing her must be some prize!"Well, now that I've found Keifer,I consume caffeine andnicotine. Thanks Keifer, you dick.My caffeine monohydrate arrived the day before Thanksgiving.Thanksgiving morning I have a heaping spoon of coconut oil,and a drink of water, whey, heavy cream and I dump half a spoon caffeine monohydrate in there.Holy crap.I was flyin. And moving furniture.Holding super interesting 45 second conversations, but with everyone I met.And I wanted to meet everyone.I had to force the turkey down,I wasn't hungry at all.All my favorite stuff I ate,but didn't really enjoy it,then I moved furniture again.Surprisingly,I never crashed.Had a short workout, late night, then bed.Lesson learned.A quarter tea spoon is plenty. So,I still have it in the morning and love it.I love the focus (and euphoria or something?).But I am a little foggy on what to do the rest of the time.I train late evening,9 ish,so I am hesitant to take it then for fear it might effect my sleep. Not that I am not able to fall asleep,I have fallen asleep an hour or two after taking it,but that it might effect my sleep pattern,or it might not be "good" sleep.I also find that the caffeine monohydrate has a appetite suppression effect on me,I thought coffee was supposed to do that?Anyway,I love it in the morning. Is there a good reason to take it at other times?

Ah so you finally discovered coffee/caffeine!  I actually think coffee is for winners.  It allows you to work harder and focus better.  Even if you get a shitty night's sleep!Anyways, the best time to take caffeine is pre-workout.  Mainly because it increases your strength, stamina, and motivation.  That's the best part of morning training in my opinion.  You can have a caffeine fueled rage session!  Caffeine also makes you more insulin resistant, which in CBL's case, is really good.Caffeine can effect you your sleep, even if you are able to fall asleep.  My only recommendation is try it out for a while and see how it effects you.

Yes,I do like life over on the dark side, muuuwahaha. What I would like to know,is there any benefit with additional caffeine any other part of the day,or any specific timing benefits? As for energy,I seem to be fine with just the upon wakeup caffeine monohydrate.I had a mid morning coffee the other day, just because everyone else was stopping for one (cream no sugar),and I don't know why,but from that point on,I felt a little screwy the whole day, didn't seem to kick in any energy at all.

No pretty much it's just the morning and pre-workout.  You can have it around lunchtime too if you are just looking for energy or appetite suppression.
