SakecatMemberHas anyone undergone a body fat percentage test. I am trying to use my weight as a diver to figure out my Body fat %. Thought some people in this forum may be interested. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/advanced-scuba-discussions/474287-body-fat-percentage.html#post7008401

GnomerParticipanti'd just use this http://www.builtlean.com/2012/09/24/body-fat-percentage-men-women/unless you are going for some sort of competition i don't see much point in getting an extremely accurate number

TCBParticipantI did a DXA scan a couple months ago. For no reason other than I was curious. I'm a numbers person so I liked to see it. Only did the one, though.DXA's are fairly inexpensive (mine was $75 for one, little less expensive each if you bought a package of 3), and some larger universities will do them even cheaper.

SakecatMemberIf and when I decide to really go for less than 10% I may go for DXA scans but for now I just want to get down to 12%. I think I am currently 22% but it would be good to know. I think I am going to get a scale caliper and tape. Then use the average of all 3. If I can also use the dive formula I will probably add that in and track it that way. I might make a log sheet to start. I am even thinking of buying a cheap used I pad so I can do this and eventually purchase a smart nutrition scale that works with the I pad. Its called prep pad from Orange chef.
