Protein bars for Carbnite and CBL

    Most of protein bars are loaded with protein, obviously, and carbs (mostly sugars and polyols, both are counted as digestable carbs) and quite low fat. So, they look like a perfect choice to kick off your high GI and low-fat carb-ups. Of course, nothing can replace real food but as an option, especially if you like them in general.So, what about protein bars for carbnites or back-loading?

    Why? If it contains 30g of protein, 20g carbs (half polyols) and 4g fat? For example, CNP bars. What's wrong?

    I think the standard thinking is:its processed and there fore could cause issues because of the processes and chemicals that are added to the  bar.IDK from reading posts that is the gist of what I am able to glean. Same thing for aspartame Although i did read in CBL something about Ace-K causing problems. (i think there was a recent post on that somewhere)Im still a noob though.

    Sugar Alcohols can be a nay-sayer I believe, along with the fiber count, and perhaps any "soy protein" could prove be hazardous if continued usage. Personally, I'd make my own or not use any.

    While backlaoding or on a CN, the Ace-K or Aspartame isn't really a problem. I use items that contain this.

    Well since it's for carb nite, and not ULC.. there's no reason to pick on that has sugar alcohols.. and personally I pick the ones that says "whey" on it.

    Well since it's for carb nite, and not ULC.. there's no reason to pick on that has sugar alcohols.. and personally I pick the ones that says "whey" on it.

    They'll also cause a laxative affect 😉
