http://70sbig.com/blog/2014/02/steroids-and-crossfit/And the article he's talking about:http://romanoroberts.com.mx/steroids-crossfit-and-the-crossfit-games-who-how/Kind of interesting way to compare yourself to some of these guys.  I wonder if this would be a way of determining genetic potential, i.e. you probably won't get larger than X lbs naturally...

Not sure I agree with that formula.  I got 26 on that index and I don't think I am done growing yet.  I never used steroids.  The nutritional knowledge we have obtained in the past 20 years can allow people to get bigger than past Mr. Americas.

Something my buddy commented, which kind of touches on what you said, ibob:"That article brings up a valid point, and alludes to another one.  Where do you draw the line between nutrition or supplements and peds.  Should it make a difference how you get something into your body (cream, injection, food, etc...)?  If not (I think no), then where do you make the distinction?  Based on safety?  How do you define that?  It's by no means an easy question."

Exactly.  I agree with that.  There is nothing natural about the all the creatine, hydrolyzed proteins, leucine, ect. that I take.  Also the way I manipulate carbohydrates and in turn, insulin, is not natural either.  I always preferred the term "drug free" because it is much more accurate.  Another addition, if they are basing the index on bodybuilders in the pre-steroid era, it's also important to note that those guys did not try to gain as much mass as possible.  They were very concerned about proportions and I think a lot of them avoided overdeveloping their lower body.  That is going to effect how much mass they carry.
