Anyone experience a stall if you stretch out your carb nite too far? 9+ days?Anyone experience a stall with consuming too many artificial sweeteners?7 days without any movement on the scale.Macros are about 55% fat, 40% protein, 5% carbs. Never more than 30g ULC.

    What's your body fat percentage?

If you want to track progress markers, try tracking a couple measurements, and pictures with each weigh in.

Up in the 40+ range. I've taken about 8 different measurements. I've noticed a 3" droparound the waist, which I'm very happy about. I think I might have had a little bloat which could account for the lack of scale progress. What do you think?

I'd try extending your ULC days to 14 days, and go from there.

From what I heard from Kiefer in podcasts and such, I'd say the same as Tex.The bloat is normal after every Carb Nite for most people and also described in the book. I've experienced it too. When eating carbs after a longer period of ULC your body over stores water.

Tex, what kind of lifting program do you follow? See you in 14 days!

Me personally? The Layer System at the moment. If I was doing CNS, I'd do either these routines, Shockwave, 3-4x a week Full Body training, or the Basic Beyond 5/3/1.

In the last I've seen myself gain 10 lbs of water overnight, and it's probably worse now with the carb nite. Going go give the 14 days a shot and go from there.

Kiefer and Patel have mentioned previously that many obese folks are very metabolically broken. Hormones and enzymes and gut health MUST be brought back to health before the body will work normally in regards to metabolism and fat loss and muscle gain. It could take weeks if not months to teach your body to regulate itself and undo the damage that has been inflicted on it.How to do all that? CNS is THE answer. You have found it! You have found the way to fuel your body, now add the supplements it needs such as vitamins and minerals and probiotics then give it time to work its magic. In my personal example the longer I have been on CNS the better my body is responding and the healthier I have become. My weight has leveled off but I continue to lose body fat and gain muscle by the DEXA scans I have done.Dr. Patel has also mentioned the need for obese folks to re-sensitize their cells to insulin. One way to do that is exactly what has been recommended above and that is to extend your ULC days. Make sure you are daily eating plenty of fats, a moderate amount of protein and carbs ONLY from NON-starchy vegetables such as broccoli.

I've been on the diet rollercoaster for a long time. I'm 6ft. 2006: 365 lbs 2008: 235 lbs 2010: 300 lbs 2014: 335 lbs I've read a lot about metabolic damage from yo-yo dieting and rebounding. To the point where it's very hard to undo the damage. It's awesome to see CNS can fix all this. Jumping the gun is easy (as you can see by my worrying about 7 days without a change) but I'm determine to see this through with a 6-7 month commitment. This is a great read. Thanks for the info.

5/3/1 is great. Currently doing the boring but big protocol. Shockwave sounds intriguing.

Shockwave is honestly a good program to follow.
