I have been using coconut oil in my morning AM shake but recently purchased some MCT powder.I thought I might try that instead.  Does anyone foresee any issues with this?  My wife might appreciate the lack oily mess in our Blender Bottles.  >:(Any ideas on the amount I should put in the shake?  1 tablespoon of coconut oil = ??? grams of MCT powder?

Most MCT powder is cut with maltodextrin and is 50:50 carb:Fat most of the time.

What I have is TruNutrition Science's MCT100.Fat 7gCarb 1gProtein 1gSodium 60mgIngredients listed: MCT, Nonfat Dry milk, Disodium Phosphate, Silicon Dioxide.I suspect the benefits are largely mixability and ease of use in cold drinks.

I would stay away from the powdered stuuf if you cant tolerate the dairy, but otherwise a little wont affect you that mcuh.  Or if you can, just eat a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil/liquid MCT alone, and then drink the shake.  No extra oily mess (i hate cleaning the botttles)

Nice thing about MCT powder is it makes shakes kinda creamy and extra smooth. It's added to some hydro whey to make it taste better.

For me, coconut oil is better than MCT because MCT doesn't have lauric acid which is a good thing for anti-inflammatory purpose and better satiety.
