Hi Guys and Girls,I've been powerlifting for six months now and I'm getting pretty strong, which I am please about but I am getting fat with it because of my diet so decided to give carb backloading a go,I just started the prep phase which is clear and I understand but with regards to the back loading I have read the Ebook and all the way through it stresses nothing for breakfast when waking up except some 10g protein and a coffee but when I go to the example page for meals and training and I'm looking at the 6:00pm one it says to eat 6oz of meat when first awake so which one is it? Eat for breakfast when first up or not. Thanks in advance for your help on this one it's just I'm trying to plan my macros ready for the next phase.

I'm assuing you lift in the evenings? It all depends on goals as well, the recent Road to Rip podcast should be listened to.You can have breakfast if you want, an example given by Kiefer is a couple eggs with bacon, and coffee with HWC. I personally have MCT Oil upon waking, and a coffee couple hours later with MCT Oil. Lunch another example from Kiefer is beef with cheese and/or avocado. IF you want veggies throw butter with it. The same idea/concept with dinner if doing the Prep Phase and ULC. Nothing wrong with having breakfast a fewe hours after waking.

Most people seem to have some coffee/MCT source when first waking. You don't have to take in anything if you don't wake up very hungry. Some people eat breakfast (protein and fat only) shortly after waking up. Sounds like you are trying to lean out so I would say don't eat anything aside from the accelerator shake within two hours of waking.
