John LaPlaca JrMemberGood morning all;I am competing in a powerlifting meet on Saturday March 22nd. I have been using CN since 01/02 and it has been going very well. I am considering switching to CBL for the next 2 weeks of training and CN the week of since I won't lift that week and backload the night before the meet. My strength has been really good and I have been having some of the best workout's i've had in a while. Would switching to CBL for the next two weeks make that much of a difference or stick with what is currently working? It is my first full meet so i'm not trying to set records or anything, but I want to perform as well as possible. Thoughts? Thanks.

I don't see a reason to switch to CBL. Your volume should be starting to taper off so CBL won't offer much of a benefit. Which meet is it?

APA Hoosier state open in Elkhart, Indiana. Thank you for the input. I am planning for a second meet on June 28th in St. John's Michigan. I am back on 5/3/1 so the volume isn't that high. The biggest difference is working out every other day and getting more time to rest and recover.

You should try giving a Sheiko program a shot for the next meet. I think it really is the best way to prepare for a meet if you don't mind doing a lot of volume.

I will take a look into it. Thanks for the suggestion
