I've been working on “cleaning up” my ULC days.  Have since removed dairy from my daily regimen (but I will have a piece of cheese once in a while).  I have been making this bomb spring salad (I call it a Phat Salad) with a tbsp each of hemp seeds, pine nuts, and sunflower seeds, 1 oz of chopped salami, and 1/4 cup(ish) of any low-carb salad dressing.  I have been eating that for lunch 5 days a week.  I'm sad :'( cuz I know that my Phat Salad is mainly vegetable and nut fats and am wondering if maybe this is stalling my progress. What do you guys/gals put on your salad as a dressing?  Melted grass fed butter? Coco oil?? Bacon grease??? HELP!

I use lemon juice mixed with different spices and herbs. There's oil and vinegar but my favorite is frying all my greens in bacon fat then eating it.

Frying in bacon grease!!! Awesome.  Lemon juice and herbs sounds good too and easy to make.  But I hear conflicting info about vegetable oils for the oil and vinegar…so what kind of oil do you use, or I guess I should say what is the cleanest veg oil to use? Olive? Or should I just nix the thought of veg oil altogether?

Olive oil and only when I'm out and about otherwise its lemon juice and herbs. Bacon grease makes everything better and gives a whole new meaning to a salad. LolI guess you could use MCT oil and vinegar.

Ah, I like the thought of MCT oil and vinegar.  Guess now's a better time than any to buy it for the first time, thanks  🙂

Pipingrock.com seems to have the best price on MCT oil too.
