Hi all,In CBL Keifer indicates that to make CBL effective you need to do heavy lifting. Can someone describe "heavy lifting". I have an ectomoroph type of body and will never have the body that Keifer does and I'm okay with that. But I still think I can make some muscle and strength gains but not sure how much I need to be lifting to still be able to do CBL and not gain weight or fat. I'm currently 6', 200, still losing some weight but would like to start building some strength also. Any insights are appreciated.
This is a limiting belief. Get it out of your head. There have been many ectomorphs that have became good bodybuilders or strength athletes. Not saying you have to strive for that, but if you want to put on some mass, you can certainly do it.Heavy lifting is relative. To put it in numbers weights using your 12 rep max or greater in an exercise is considered heavy lifting. Assuming you are training close to failure. So any traditional strength or bodybuilding program will work fine.
