Sergio WestphalMemberHello,I'm currently following CBL and having good results, but a few weeks ago I started to play tennis 2 times a week (1h session). Now, I don't run like crazy while doing tennis, but I can consider it a cardio exercise, because eventually i'll be doing short burts of running that may be considered cardio. On the book, Kiefer says that CBL IS NOT for people doing sports like rowing, crossfit and such. I presume we can include tennis too.Do you have any suggestion for me in that case? I'd prefer to keep doing my tennis classes because they help me with stress management too, it's very fun to learn and play. I'll be keeping a good gym schedule as well.Basically I need to know if I can follow CBL with a schedule of 3x resistance training per week and 2x tennis. What should I do on the days I play tennis? Thanks for the helpSergio

Richard SchmittModeratorTennis is fine as your “fun recreational” time, backload after resistance training not tennis. Some folks might suggest a PWO Shake with or without MCT Oil (Sans carbs) but in my opinion I feel you'll be fine without a shake.

Sergio WestphalMemberHi Big Tex,Thanks for the help! So, basically, on the days I'm playing tennis, I'll not back load. Just backload on the gym days, right? I saw some other people commenting that after practicing a sport they will have one carb meal late night, but very smaller in comparisson with CBL days.

It depends on the person and their goals, but yes backload after resistance training.

Oh that works nicely then. Just backload after training days then. Your tennis shouldn't be an issue, but if you are sluggish during training you may just need to backload more on training day.
