Gary pMemberHiAnyone no about D aspartic acid, was wandering if anyone has had results from it,I read mixed reports some good some not,it is an amino acid so i would think its not that bad but there does n't seem to be that much research behind it,although it claims to raise testosterone over short periods and has to be cycled 12 days on 12 days off.I was wandering if it spikes insulin can't seem to find that anywhere as it is also recommend to take it in the morning.I don't use steroids just natural supplements and boosters like pre workouts etc.ThanksGary

GnomerParticipantWhile DAA can raise t-levels it's not going to be in any sort of amount that would lead to noticable muscle gains if that's what you are looking for. You'd get more out of adding an extra serving if protein a day than you would from DAA.. but then again placebo effect can be strong for some:)I have tried DAA couple times, as well as tribulus and all the other so called natural test boosters. Imho they all are a wasit as the amount it would need to raise your test to promote muscle growth as they advertise isn't going to happen. As far as insulin i wouldn't be worried about it from DAA

I agree with this. Some people, myself included, get increased energy levels from DAA though which can indirectly lead to more muscular gains because it can lead to better training sessions.

what else was in those pre-workouts though? hard to say if it was the DAA or not if it was a mixture of many ingredients.. for me supplement wise the only thing aside from protein that has made a substantial difference in my training is glycofuse. Even creatine i don't "notice" anything.. I continue to take it as it costs very little but I have gone off it for lengthy amounts of times and don't see a difference.

I can't speak for him, but in my case I took pure DAA. It wasn't a stimulant type energy. It was more of a motivational, "desire to train" type energy. Plus my libido is increases when I am on DAA, which says a lot because libido is already pretty damn high. When I am on DAA I feel like I am 14 again.

Super high libido is likely a result of excess estrogen. Raising testosterone via these supplements usually just means more conversion to estrogen unless an anti-aromatase is used concurrently."Recently an in vitro study carried out on boar testes revealed that endogenous testicular D-Asp enhances gonad aromatase activity [18], the key enzyme that converts testosterone into 17β-estradiol."http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2774316/"Recently, we have also demonstrated that D-aspartic acid induces P450 aromatase mRNA expression in the frog (Pelophylax esculentus) testis."http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22771744"Therefore, at the dose provided, D-ASP supplementation is ineffective in up-regulating the activity of the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonadal axis and has no anabolic or ergogenic effects in skeletal muscle"http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24074738

Yes I am aware of that, I take reverstrol with it which has Anti-Aromtase properties. Anything that raises testosterone levels is going to effect estrogen levels.
