Ken KarnackParticipantSo, I've been doing under 100g of carbs for a while now and at time doing less and I'm doing ok with that. But I was wondering how the body responded to advanced athletes with carb loading daily? After 28 years of training my weight loads and volume is still pretty high. Age:45Wt:218Bf: 14%Leg volume today: Squats 225 x6-90 sec restLeg ext: 165 x 8 60 sec restLeg press: 500 x 10 30 sec restI've tried to load the last 2 days and I feel pretty good. My strength and stamina has jumped up a lot. My goal is to shed body fat.. Any advice from the more experienced trainers of CBL'rs would be great. ?? I know keifer said "is the back load enough" I had 2 slices of bread with butter2 waffles with jelly and butter4 cups of frosted flakes with milk.. It made me sleepy for sure.. Day 1 was 5000 calories for the day and 4000 for the second, I'm up. Pound. But I feel better.. Normally I'm at 3000 and losing weight..

Richard SchmittModeratorHave you checked out the BW To Carbs Chart from the book?

Ken KarnackParticipantYes I have but it is a little conflicting to me. He says, s it enough but there is a 800 calories limit for carbs at night.. Maybe that is what I'm missing. So that would be 200gr of carbs for me. Is that it? 200 doesn't seem like much of a load. I have done up to 2-3000 extra calories on a keto before and done quite well. Although I've never been completely ripped... Hu,mm

Richard SchmittModeratorNo the BW To Carbs Chart, not the ULC macros. You're not looking at the calories in one day, you're looking at the macros instead.

Ken KarnackParticipantThen I regret that I'm totally lost then. I'll go back and look.. Thanks

Ken KarnackParticipantAt BW : 218 it says 763g carbs? Is that per night or how many days in between the depletion should you, carb up ? I used to do 1 per week and I looked flat and always looked the same. When I did my best it was at we'd carb up and sat carb up. Are these only right before bed or the last 2'meals before bed? I train at 12-1 pm. Can't do 4-7pm. Working. Like be Plus my workouts are high volume, so that my need to change to a solid heavy WO with less exercises.. So my intro phase for 10 days should be;Pro: 93-167Fat: 40Carb:880 cal. 59-106.3This is what I need to get into ketosis? I may do HIIT to get there faster.. I have keto sticks also.. Is this correct? 😉
