Robert j clarkParticipantI need some opinions of p90x 3 from those experienced in cns.Should I adopt a basic weight lifting program or go with p90x3?I intend to start cns and transition to cbl in time and at that point go to a total resistance workout. P90x 3 is only a 30 minute workout unlike the original p90x which could go close to an hour some days.Thoughts on this?

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorDon't do P90X, any of them, with CNS.Get into a basic beginner lifting program, something like 3-4 days a week.

What exactly are your goals? If it is just to lose fat, then P-90x is ok 2nd and 3rd day after your CN. Other than that I would abstain. If you want to build a nice physique and/or gain strength, then follow Trevor's suggestion.

Robert j clarkParticipantWell I'm 6'4″ 255lbsThe goal is 225-230lbs. I thought P90x3 might be suitable because it's a shorter workout. Thanks for the suggestions and I'll follow them for sure. I already have a basic 3 day workout I'll do while on CNS and then a more intense 4 day routine for when I start carb back loading.

It's also pretty much no rest, straight cardio the whole time. Not suitable at all on a Low carb diet.

Robert j clarkParticipantI also play basketball regularly on weekends. Full court and usually several games when I play. How will this be a factor? BTW - im on my 5th day now and lost 8lbs. But my wife made a geen juice (kale, spinach, blueberries, strawberries, ginger) and I drunk a little more than a cup. Im sorry but it was good. Do I need to start over again?

You probably don't need to start over. Also, the Basketball wont be that big a deal, just make sure you eat enough over the week. (ULC + Carb nite calories)
