AM FASTED TRAINING INSULIN SPIKE?

    I lift in the morning, heavy, for 1 hour, Monday to Friday. Kiefer originally wrote in CBL to have 40 grams carbs post workout then none until dinner. He later advised just whey hydrolysates, 10g leucine, and MCT oil. I know we want to avoid an insulin spike early in the day to continue fat mobilization.... so would eggs and bacon be better post workout in the morning so there is no insulin spike from the leucine and hydrolysate shake??

    The insulin spike is supposed to be there to prevent the body from being catabolic PWO. Plus the shake helps with muscle repair/growth. I think you have 10g of Leucine confused with creatine. 3-5g is plenty.

    Thanks Tex, I guess I was just meaning, should I assume this MCT/LEUCINE/HYDROLYSATE shake wont bump me out of fat burning for the remainder of the AM?

    Sorry for waking up an old post. Where in the book does Kiefer mention taking MCt's in the PWO Potentiator? I've just been drinking the 30is grams of protine and 5g lucine, 8g creatien with a bananananaa.

    Hmm. not sure. I think it's like gain muscle on CNS or something like that.
