I noticed macadamia that I bought had maltodextrin in the ingredients should I not eat them?

It depends on the amount in one setting. Also does seem like these are flavored, possibly? I'd say you're fine in small amounts.

It just says dry roasted but I would only eat a serving like 30g

I'd say you'll be fine with those. Sometimes manufactures put some sort of sweeteners when roasting their products.

It's a trace amount. Just use the carb count on the package.

Dear Big Tex:Does this mean that maltodexrine does not count as a bulk sweetener that needs to be avoided always?

“Bulk” would be something to avoid. Very small minor amounts wouldn't cause too much of a problem in moderation, however it does depend on body fat and muscle mass.

Does this apply to all of the bulk category sweetners that in small amounts they are ok?

Again "bulk" applies to all, moderation is different. I wouldn't go out finding these sweeteners, just making a conscious decision to avoid them when picking up food.
