So week in and week out sticking to a somewhat strict carb intake. I feel like a splurge is warranted everyone and then. A down and dirty backload! What are your thoughts? What are your favorite down and dirty backloads? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I generally do every 1-2 weeks. There are time when I will have dirty backloads 2-3 times a week.

One of my splurges was a entire large pizza, 2 slices from another large pizza, and 1 quart of ice cream.I've had 2 large pizza's multiple times as well.

I'm not currently lifting, and I'm still having carbs 6 days/wk. M-F I have my normal backloads of rice/sweet potato/rice cereals/gluten free cookies, and Saturdays are basically my “free eating days.” Basically meaning I eat whatever, whenever on Saturdays. I'm generally busy on weekends so I eat pretty light during the day, then in the evenings I gorge. The last two weeks it was a whole frozen pizza, plus pepperoni on it, plus a diced chicken breast on it, chicken strips, slice of cheesecake, a pint of ben & jerrys, and some trail mix.Dunno what tonight will be.. I'm thinking burger and fries and .. something?TL;DR answer - every Saturday pretty muchFun side note that's completely unrelated: I haven't lifted in ~3 weeks.. having carbs 6x/wk and keeping calories ~2800-2900/day, I've managed to just maintain weight. No workouts other than walking the dog. Pretty interesting. Going to slowly increase over the next couple weeks, see if I can get up to 3000 cal/day by the time I start lifting again.

If people simply slowly work up to it, I think most people would be really surprised by how much they can actually eat and maintain weight. And the more you eat the easier it is to the cut. Though bulking can suck.Funny note, each time I've had a big splurge, it's been generally after I've simply underrate carbs for a few days and I feel rundown and I've never had my weight go up by more then 1lbs.

Very much agree.. Listening to some of Layne's stuff on reverse dieting made me curious how high I can get my calories.. And I'm injured right now, so figured it was a good time. And I'm still eating a decent amount of carbs (270-300ish) a day with no training. The body is interesting, to say the least

I will have a splurge once a week generally a pizza or homemade hamburger with fries with some ice cream. When I do that, I reduce my sodium intake a bit because junk foods are full of sodium.
