backload timings….

    hi,  does it matter how long or short a time it is between the pwo shake and starting the backload?...also further to this, is it optimal to backload my carbs in as short a time as possible?  for example all in one big meal.many thanks,  Jon

    Assuming you train in the late evening/night, it doesn't matter. 4-6 hours is probably the longest you'd want to take a backload, but making it one big meal doesn't really make a difference aside from personal preference.

    Kiefer recommends starting the backload an hour after your workout ends.  I personally wait about an hour and a half because my appetite doesn't kick in until then.

    +1. I've tried various backloading "windows" and IMO, if you train in the afternoon, it doesn't matter that much.
