Hi! I'm a newbie to CNS :). I read the book and found out although Kiefer said there is no significant need to count calories, he did suggest 1g protein/lb body weight and 0.5g fat/lb body weight. Here is the confusion: I'm 5'7'' and 132 lb, which gives me 132g protein and 66g fat with let's say, 20g active carb (that's the amount I usually eat per day). This macro will give me only 1200 kcal/day, which is way less than my BMR. Is there something wrong with I understanding to the calculation? :- Thank! Another thing is the protein intake seems higher than the recommended amount for keto diet. So which one should we follow in CNS?

Increase your fat intake to .65g-1g/BW and go from there. It's not a set number you have to hit everyday, just something to fall within.

Your goal is not to be in Ketosis, but to control insulin. By which removing carbs from the week, except for that one evening on a CN. If you have some kind of illness or condition that needs to be addressed by using a Keto type diet, then you'll follow those macros.
