gideon cullumMemberhey folks, I was not sure where to put this.I was wondering if anyone has tried a diet similar to mine or has any changes?I am looking for advice on my diet. It is a mix of a few things, i am seeing results, but I find it hard to diet in general so I would be doing better if I was not cheating now and then.TRAININGI am aiming for a leaner athletic body.I train 5x5 compund movements and do a crossfit style workout every 4 days.So I am lean enough (maybe 12%) about 182lbs.NUTRITIONdaily intermittint fasting untill about 1pm(nothing but coffee/water and niquitin gum)eating about 300-330 g protein per day (allot)this is just in turkey and tuna8-10 caps of cod liver oil a day (the only fats im taking) I have a coconut oil coffee if i am doing extra training like a surf session]the only carbs I eat is two black bannanas along with whey and leucine pst workout. If I struggled on the weights I add an extra couple of bananas.then I eat fuck lots of veg with every meal, Ican easilly knock down ahead of broccoli,a whole cabbage, a bell pepper, 4-5 tomatoes, 1 cucumber, 1head of celery and 5+handfulls of kale IN ONE DAY!all veg is home grown and organicWhat is your thoughts? my energy levels are good and I feel great from eating so much micronutrients i guess. But maybe there are some tweeks?

Richard SchmittModeratorSo you're not doing CBL with 5×5 and Crossfit? That's if I read this correctly, and you're IFing?

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorLots of things to change. Really, this is a poor diet. However, if it's working just keep doing it.

You hardly consume any fats, and you hardly consume carbs. Also, I can't tell if you mean you train 4 days in a row or only train once every 4 days. Also you are eating much more protein then you need. You don't need more then 1g per lbs, though you can eat more, up to about 1.5g per lbs. Past that just eat carbs or fat.Have you read carb backloading? It doesn't sound like you even understand what it is.

gideon cullumMemberOk thanks .taken on board, I have read cbl , I just feel much more satisfied when eating like this. I recall keifer saying you can't get fat eating protein. So I figured I would try this

James HodsonParticipantok in my opinion this is where I think you need to make some changes. You need more fat in your diet. butter, olive oil, mct.Where are the cbl? I don't really see it here.Your workouts shouldn't be 5x5. Chances are you can contract the muscle with the heavy weight like that. so check out MI40X.just my thoughts
