HiI've been bulking during the last 2,5 months and I'm now experiencing more fat gains than at first, which was pretty much none. Also, I don't get that hot feeling from eating carbs anymore, and I don't get as vascular from carbs neither. Anyone with the same experience, or who can clarify what's happening? I suspect it has something to do with my insulin sensitivity..Thanks

Well what does a normal training day and non training day look like? Stats? Types of carbs, fats, and proteins? Macros tracked?

Probably a good time to do a mini diet.A lot of good body builders like Bpak and Meadows, and PHd's like Bill Willis, Scott Stevenson recommend that if that starts happening while bulking take 4-6 weeks and cut some.

Funny you say that, I started a 4-6 mini cut yesterday. But it nice you hear that advise from you also 🙂

Yeah,6 ft, 179 lbs, 11ish % BF.Pre work out I get two meals, first one is 12 hours from last, second one is a couple of hours before training. Both are something like 30-35 g pro and 20-25 g fat, both under 10 carbs per meal, and mostly way under.Train around 4 PM, 1-1,5 hour sessions (5x week)Post work out I backload the rest of my calories. Macros for the whole day have been around: Protein: 200-220Fat: 100-110Carbs: around 400 for the most part (carbs are always high GI - rice, white potatoes, white bread, rice cakes with Nutella, lower fat ice cream)Total cal on training days have been around 3600. Non-training days are the same, but with less carbs. Maybe around 200, depending on how I felt.I slowly worked my way up in carbs and calories, so I really didn't gain that much fat during that time - if any at all. But, I have gained size and strength in the gym. And, it's only over the last couple of weeks I have noticed what I explained in the first post.

Okay yeah, I don't see a major problem with how you're eating, etc. Sometimes going about weighing yourself more than weekly or using the mirror can help set the rest of the macros or how you should eat in the backload. I used to do a “set number” for macros daily, that never seemed to help in the long run. Keeping protein the same, but altering fats and carbs will also help with fat gain or loss. Like what Trevor said, going on a short “diet” would be ideal.

    Ditto.  Sounds like Anabolic resistance.

Personally I'd just cut total food back a couple hundred cal and see what happens.

Thanks everyone! I'm cutting back 100 g carbs (and some tag along fat) for some weeks, and adjust to how it goes. Started this yesterday and I already saw some tightening up happening over night.
