    Will Digestive enzymes/ probiotics help progress/ assist with CBL signficantly or at all?

    very interesting… I never thought about the weight gain.. I guess its because I'd be utalizing more of what I eat.. Thanks.  And yes!! thread starts – I am very interested in this stuff.  Finally some great fitness/ body comp strategy that is legit. AND – backed by research, common sense, and testing.  It just grabbed me and I want to learn all I can.  Thanks for all your help in answering my questions

    They can make you more efficient with your food. The more efficient you are, the easier it is to store in some form.

    Interesting, never even thought about that.  My pancreatic function was extremely low, but has improved dramatically over the past 5 months or so and have been using enzymes, probiotics and other digestive assistance herbals.  Doing more now after my last labs and everything seems to be working so much better.  Thanks

    They can make you more efficient with your food. The more efficient you are, the easier it is to store in some form.

    Yep. Basically, if you're poorly digesting food you might be maintaining your weight at a certain caloric level, but you're only actually digesting/using 70% of those calories. Add digestive support, and it might bump you to using 90% of that caloric load, thus effectively increasing the amount of calories you're getting, without increasing what you're eating.I personally consider digestion to be part of the "second rule" of thermodynamics that Kiefer often references in regards to why calories in/calories out calculations don't work. You and I might both have the same TDEE, and eat 1000 calories, but you might actually use 900 of those, and I might only use 800 of those.

    Thanks for the explanation....A bit of a mind puzzle for me.  So since my pancreatic output has increased from negative 3 to +5 (still low end of normal) would that perhaps be why I've gained weight since the increase?  (edit: actually since starting CN have typically been eating more than previous from what I can tell i.e. animal proteins fats (never calorie counted before)....hmm) Also, I've been monitoring my temperature and typically wake up to 93-94 degree readings and in the afternoon (3:00 pm) 95-97.  Today is the first morning in two weeks I got a 97.3degree read in the a.m. upon waking.  I know this is relative to adrenals and thyroid hormone as well.  This seems to be a factor as well in caloric burning/metabolic output.  My morning cortisol levels are low. (edit:  added Real salt in h20 1 tsp q.d. 3 days ago so will see if this is having an affect)All so interesting.  I feel like a science experiment.  ::)

But it sounds like you have some other issues also, so it'd be hard to pinpoint down exactly what is changing. Just have to tweak one variable at a time.All so interesting.  I feel like a science experiment.  ::)This is my favorite part! 🙂 Too much so..     I think you are going down an awfully dangerous road to suggest that anyone is going to get fat from proper digestion.
