Adam HaysParticipantShould I be avoiding soy? I avoid all soy for the most part in fear of its estrogenic effects. It's in pretty much everything. And virtually all protein powders. Also, what about soy lecithin? Some people tell me it's just an emulsifier and will not have any negative effects, but I want to make sure

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorSoy lecithin is fine. Just don't go eating soy proteins or consuming large amounts of soy bean oil.

Adam HaysParticipant– so could I could eat products/ chocolate containing some soy on my carb night once a week without getting any negative effects?

If it's soy lecithin you can pretty much eat something with it all the time. It's very, very very small amounts.

Adam HaysParticipant– on CBL would it be a bad idea to take an insulin sensitivity supplement in the mornings since I'll be low carb all day? Or will that spill over to effect my carb consumption at night. I know I shouldn't take the supplement in the evenings.. I was thinking it may help fat cells be more sensitive to fats and maybe help with extra fat burning effects.. I don't know

It would be wasting money.

Richard SchmittModeratorSave your money. Avoid carbs during the day, that's the best way to avoid any insulin spiking. Just eat fats and protein. At night eat your carbs Post-Training.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIf you want to spend money on a supplement they may help performance and fat mobilization get some carnitine.
