Hello everyone.I've been re-reading the CBL book, the forum and the recent carb shock PDF and it got me thinking... The recommendations have changed a fair deal since the early days, but what is the current best all bases covered shake? In the UK, I can't get carb shock, and I'm not going to try and recreate the recipe direct, but if money was no option, what would be the most optimal shake post workout? Whey isolate or a protein blend,Leucinecasein hydrolysateCreatineWhat would you say is the most important aspects, and would you change it due to different programs (CBL or CNS).Thanks.

Just use Leucine Creatine and your choice of protein be it WPI, WPC, or a Blend.

Well the info I've read since the release of the book is that caffeine in the shake post isn't advise any more.

Well this is what I'm doing to be honest, but things change constantly...However, I'm more along the angle of "If we was trying to make the perfect shake pwo now, what would it be"

Keifer has backed off his caffeine suggestions. You can do it if you want to, but if it messes with your sleep or you are in a very stressed situation it's probably best to pass.

Indeed he has according to the notes I've seen… I think they was on one of the excellent write ups by BJJCaveman.Since carb shock has come out, this seems to be the latest suggestion in terms of the most superior PWO shake. However, I'm in the UK and can't get hold of this product. I do have an ambassador role with a UK based supplement company though, so I get a monthly allowance to spend on supps, so was trying to work out what I could do PWO to extract every benefit and last % to maximise results.I'm doing CNS at present and having solid results.
