It is normal, basically called keto flu. I would suggest to add some more fats in. Track macros?

Sascha HeidParticipantI didn't have the keto flu either, just an hour or 2 of headaches and i dont even know if it was related.I was worried i did something wrong but meanwhile i can measure my ketones and everything is/was right. When i do CNS i do not feel bad either. Maybe i lose a little bit of strength on day 6 and 7 but basically i feel very good all the time.

How can you measure your ketones??

How can you measure your ketones??
In the transitional phase you can measure them with urine-sticks (keto-sticks). But this only works in the beginning because your body has not yet learned to utilize the ketones and expells them over your urine. The other traditional method is measuring them over your blood. This is precise and works all the time but is obviously not very comfortable and the test-strips are expensive. The third method - which is quite new - is over the breath. The ketonix measures the acetone content of your breath. This is comfortable and supposedly nearly as accurate as over the blood since acetone in breath and blood ketones seem to correlate very well. The device is called ketonix / ketonix sport and available since a year or so, that's what i use. You just plug the device into a usb-port, wait 3 minutes till it warmes up and exhale into it for 15 seconds. It's 99-130$ (depending on model) but there are no strips or anything else required and you can use it as many times as you want.
