Camila OkaforMemberI just ended my prep phase and I weighed myself this morning. I lost 7.3 lbs. According the the Delta Weight Chart I should consume 659 g baseline carbs. Does this mean I consume 659 g carbs tonight (I train tomorrow morning)? I'm worried because he had mentioned women can't gorge like men do which I understand. Any suggestions?

This is a common misconception of how much people should consume, when it's really the MAXIMUM umber of carbs that should even be considered. Or at least this is my understanding. The general recommendation is to start out with 2g per lb of lean body mass you have. From their gauge how your body reacts and adjust accordingly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

nowyourdeadsonParticipantlol at ~700g carbsI'd be willing to bet that my baseline after prep phase is something like 2500 or more.. last time I did keto I dropped 15 lbs in 7 days..2500g carbs = death like that guy from se7en.I know nothing of how this all works, but my bet would be start with "x" number of backloads per week at like 75-100g carbs, do that for a few weeks, gauge body comp and adjust accordingly.. maybe add like 30-50g carbs if you need to gain more, or cut back a bit of you notice fat gains..that's how I plan on it at least.. 100-150g 4x per week and adjust accordingly.

SpatzModeratorI have a feeling that chart is more for the gentleman than it is for the ladies. In the book he states on pg 185,
"Eat one carb meal post-training and don’t binge.A couple pieces of pizza or a sushi roll or two is more thanplenty."
After using google.. two slices of pizza comes up to about 72g carbs, and two rolls of sushi is roughly 70g carbs depending on the rolls consumed. So that's what I go by, and try and keep my backloads anywhere from 60-90 grams carbs generally.
