bakare47ParticipantHi guys, I need to lose as much fat as possible over the next 3 weeks. I've been mainly on a carbnite plan.I'm considering going CBL SA on Saturday and Wednesday post workout as I'm wondering if it will get me more fat loss. The thing I was thinking about was leptin. I've heard that leptin drops significantly by day 3 or day 4. My carb ups usually don't last more than an hour and I've also heard that its practically impossible to gain fat up to an hour postworkout. So with 2 days CBL, carbing up for 1 hour, do you think it might be better? Would the midweek bump up in leptin result in more fatloss?Or should I just stick to my carbnites, once a week. I want to do the best possible to drop fat, but really can't riskan experiment backfiring, given my tight schedule. Finally, I've also heard that 15% is the level where CBL really starts to be effective,.. any thoughts?thanks

I'd agree with that. The rest I'm not sure the Mods would be better answering that.

bakare47ParticipantThanks, I think I'll just stick to my carbnite plan till the event. Also I've discovered diuretics, which is perfect for looking your leanest specificially for a one day event.

Melvin McLainParticipantBeware of diuretics, as they can lead to excessive vitamin/mineral loss. Google is your friend on this.

Brandon D ChristParticipantYou'll likely lose fat faster with Carb Nite so if that is really all you care about, then stick with Carb Nite. If you want to gain muscle and strength too, do CBL.If you want to do CBL simply because you want to eat carbs more often, you'll be disappointed.

bakare47ParticipantThanks, CNS it is then, with caffeine, nicotine and PAGG (if it even works, so far I can't tell)I don't think I'll ever need to use diuretics again after this one event. It's a very very big deal for me.Cheers,
