CBL routine

    HI guys just wanted to get some clarification on my routine and CBL days.I am starting a powerlifting routine which goes like this:Monday - squat/bench/rowtuseday - dead/push press/dipsWednesday - offThursday - squat/bench/rowFriday -dead/push press/dipsSaturday - offsunday - offtraining 4 days a week, should I back load on the days Wednesday and sunday to prep me for the next day workout? will be following a 5x5 split so really heavy.thanks heaps.

    If you are training fasted first thing in the morning you may benefit from backloading the night prior, but I think the easiest way is to just always backload the day you train regardless of training times. You glycogen wont be depeleted during an off day assuming you don't just add a bunch of HIIT for no apparent reason.

    Thanks Trev, I train at 6-7pm on training days. so just backload on my training days and then ULC on off days. due to the 2 day off on the weekend wouldn't it be beneficial to backload on Sunday? so that I get the most performance out for Mondays session.

    Again, you probably wont have any issues. Glycogen levels will stay mostly full.If you seem to have performance issues maybe a small amount of carbs, but I doubt you'll need it.
