tlfoxyMemberhttp://dangerouslyhardcore.com/forum/index.php?topic=186.0I am on day 18 as I am writing this thread. I referenced a similar topic but I wanted to add my own take on the subject of frustration.A quick story to preface my situation:Every time I get back on the fitness horse; I tend to see a big difference in the scale. And, this time is no different. I know that the scale can be a liar. But, I would like to see the number go down significantly. I may be in the minority on this board, as I am not a body builder with less than 10% body fat. I am supposed to get my body-fat test done in the next couple of days by one of the trainers at my gym. But, in past experience (being in this place before), I would say that I was around 30% body-fat. I have lost a significant amount of weight already since getting back in the gym (Feb. 15th). 25 lbs. to be exact. All of that is due to the change of my original diet of cutting back my caloric intake and eating better, as well as water weight. Now, since starting CNS on March 19th, I had great weight loss within my first 10 days. I was down to 256 lbs. and now 8 days later I haven't really seen a drop. I woke up this morning at just over 254 lbs. But, the positives are significant as well: I am more energized - satiated / not wanting to cheat - strength is coming back - and I am sleeping like a baby!Is this normal? Only a couple of lbs. loss since my first carb-nite? Is this just me being impatient and wanting to see faster results? Am I just getting in my head as this wasn't the norm for me the last time I did this? I'm sure a lot of these questions will be answered as soon as I can get a BF test / measurements done. I am by no means thinking about jumping ship, as much as I am airing my frustrations and confusion. I am going to be patient and keep on keeping on!

AciDMemberMy bet – you built some muscles and they are much heavier than fat.

Luis S.MemberI started a frustration thread a while back too. I was at around a month on my CNS diet and nit seeing the results i wanted to see. Truth is we all have to realize some things about this program. Scale truly is your enemy. Most of us have tossed ours out and not gotten on one since then. Logic behind it is that when your on a calorie restricted diet you loose more weight in a more constant pattern because it comes from loss of fat and deterioration of muscle(which we dont want). Muscles are significantly heavier than fat, therefore a lot of the weight loss comes from them. Reason why our “weight” loss isnt as linear on CNS is because our muscles are staying intact, maybe not inflated or pumped up as usual, but they arent getting any smaller due to the excess of triglycerides. On CNS some weeks you burn more fat than other. Some times you will not see results for weeks in a row, being the reason for frustration, but believe me, and everyone else here, the results will happen. I hate it when people tell me to be patient, but in all reality that is the truth. We have to realize that no matter what diet program we are on, it will take months to see significant results. They keyword here is consistency backed up by one shit load of motivation. Now, in regards to CNS, the simpler you keep it the better. Those keeping it simple are seeing results. That goes for both diet and training. Make a set of guidelines every day for your diet and follow them and dont overcomplicate your life. I would recommend you follow Sickley's log on CNS. He is very knowledgeable and always has great advise. But he is not the only one. Everyone on here is always more than glad to help you in every way they can. Good luck on your road to success, and always have a goal in sight!

tlfoxyMemberThanks for the replies… I was just really in my head this morning. I have to change that kind of thinking if I am ever going to succeed. There are times that I tend to live in the past. Looking at old college pictures and/or times I was really fit.Anyhow, I am back in the right state of mind (for the time being). Sorry to start a thread like this, but it was what I was feeling at the time.

BatCountryMemberDid you take before and after pics? To me, and many this is important because day in and day out i see no change. The change in most programs comes over weeks / months and it is just too gradual. If you have added muscle mass (which i am suspecting also) as an individual it is hard to see it in the mirror everyday, especially if you still have a body fat percentage of 15 or higher.

I totally forgot about this thread... I made it awhile back and still relying on the scale as an indicator of fat loss. I was feeling like a little bitch on that day. I have made great strides since that day. I feel really good and I am seeing definition come in. I am able to fit into clothes that I wasn't able to 4 months ago. I was on day 18 when I posted this thread and now I am beginning my 10th week. Day 64 to be exact. I have stayed true to this diet and I am down over 30 lbs. since beginning CNS. I started out at 270 lbs. and as of this morning, I am at 238 lbs. I realized that I had to be patient and that my body will change gradually. It's a mental game as well. I have changed my whole attitude and my relationship with food. Sometimes weight loss stalls and then .... BOOM!.... the scale will show a 3 lb. weight loss.I wish I did take before pics, but I was afraid of the camera back then. I have pictures from my sisters wedding that shows me at a bigger size. But, I know that I gained 30 lbs. in between then and starting CNS.Thanks for the reply and the encouragement...
