Hi i'm starting the carb nite diet for the second time, currently on day 4.because i have mild form of crohns disease i've been taking 2 servings of sugar free metamucil per day.this works fine but today i accidentally bought the non sugar free kind. After looking it up on the internet each serving contains roughly 9 grams of sugar per 3 grams of fiber. Not very optimal.is 9 grams of sugar going to spike insulin and stop ketogenesis? I know the diet says i can have up to 30-40 g of carbs a day, but i always assumed those aren't supposed to be of the pure sugar variety.
