So here's what I'm driving at: what is it about (say) gluten-free muffins sweetened with dextrose that makes the food "unhealthy"?Sent from my pocket calculator with Tapatalk

good question.  Lack of micronutrients?  Or at least fewer micronutrients than potatoes?  Then again, where is the cut off? Beats me dude.

(For example, things like Fusarium specifically, are most likely to grow in the starches of the corn, and this is where many of the commercial brands seem to get their dextrose.)  There's no doubt that CBL is an amazing system that achieves it's intended goals fast and effectively.  There's also no doubt that CBL is adaptive and can be as "healthy" or "unhealthy" as you want it to be pretty much no matter your definition of what a healthy food is.  That's awesome. What I worry about is ending up with a lot of people confusing the idea of being incredibly strong and very lean with being healthy in the same way that those in the running community view marathon runners as the ideal for longevity.-Adam

are you going to have the best blood profile after doing this for a few years, who the hell knows. that is not what this is about.last night i ate a bagel, 30 raviolis, loaf of italian bread, 2 ice cream sandwiches, 2 cupcakes, and a sleeve of oreos...i was full and didn't want to do anything but sleep. when i woke up, i had tons of energy, much more vascular, and my workout kicked ass.....that's what this diet is about. If you want a good blood profile and want to live till you are 100, go get a juicer and eat some leafs....if you want to be the best and look good doing so, backload like it says in the book.High GI carbs are the way to go. if you are eating low gi carbs, you aren't backloading.
