Do the carbs in Avacado count towards your max carbs in the ULC portion of the day?

Yea, but there's so much fiber in them that they come to about 2-5 g's each (depending on the size). I'd check an online source to double-check though. I'd also assume that the riper they are the more usable carbs they contain, but that might be wrong.

When you take the fiber carbs out, avocados have virtually no carbs. Myfitnesspal.com says less than 2 useable grams of carbs for 100 grams of avocado, which is 15.3 grams of fat. I have been eating at least one a day for a while now. Kiefer, however, said something somewhere about the majority of your fat coming from plant sources being bad. I have been away for several days and not sure if this issue has been resolved. But they are tasty, high in fat, and low in usable carbs.

I think the reason he may suggest to not use plants for a majority of your fat intake is due to the high levels of omega 6's in plant(vegetable) oils/fats.  Avocados mostly contain MCT's and help activate brown fat, according to studies I've read, so they should be good to go for you on this diet!
