HiBeen playing around with CBL for a few weeks, took the plunge yesterday and forked out for the book.  I've been low-carb/paleo/primal for over a year now and dropped about 30lbs initially, then put about half of it back on again 'cause I just looked drawn and everybody said I looked ill! Back in the gym now (still running though, sorry Kiefer) doing 5/3/1 BBB and loving it, did Convict Conditioning before that at home.  BF is about 11% measured with callipers, 160lbs, 5' 9", Taurus.  Do I need to prep?  Very impatient....CheersReachy

If youre main goal is gaining and you've already been eating low carb you might not have to do the prep phase.  However, if you're asking that question I'd suggest just doing it anyway. It isnt so bad.

It would be very ideal to do the Prep-Phase, just because to prime the body to use fat as fuel EVEN THOUGH you have been doing Low-Carb, it is highly recommended. You never know when your body will do something different, and when you shock into something different. Might get better results.

I don't see why not, I personally enjoyed the prep phase.. already started to see results (in the first week) while eating things I had previously been denying myself from for a looong time (fats/bacon/etc).Some people make it out to sound so tough/hard.. I don't really see it. The only downside I saw was a lack of energy the first couple days... but the actual food I was eating was great!
