jp5056KeymasterSo today is the start of my forth day of CBL! I did a 9 1/2 day prep phase because I did 3 HIIT days on the front end plus working out. I lost 12 lbs during the prep phase. I am 6'2 about 225 and around 16-18% body fat. I'm not sure for sure because I have a home gym with no testing equipment, but that's about what I think I am base on previous test. My first carb backloading night was nuts... I ate like a poor fat guy that entered a food contest where the winner doesent pay... And I forgot my money...So here has been my basic eating routine so far...Wake up 7:00 drink coffee with 10 g coconut oil and 10 g of heavy whipping cream. And 10 g whey10:45 eat breakfast: 3 eggs, turkey sausage cooked in olive oil12:00 coffee: heavy whipping cream 10 g2:00 lunch: chicken ceaser salad with turkey bacon. Turkey Bacon and chicken cooked in olive oil4:00 coffee black, 5g creatine, 10g coconut oil4:30 shockwave protocol workouts heavy5:45: whey protien 30g, dextrose 50g, creatine 5g, Leucine 5g6:30: white rice 140 g carbs, 2 chicken breast or burger, 8:00 leucine 5g, white rice 140 carbs, 6 pieces of white bread 70 carbs, 30g whey9:30-10:30 bowl of ice cream, 8 cookies11:00 sleep and sweat through the night...Can someone critic my diet.I got down to 214 at the end of my prep phase and was up to 220 the day after my first CBL. I look tight though. On my second day, I stayed the same weight. But after my third day, this morning I woke up at 223.8. I gained over 3 pounds since yesterday. I looked okay in the mirror, but I'm not wanting to gain fat or much weigt in this plan. Is it possible for me to lose body fat and get jacked? Granted yesterday, I did eat a lot of fried plantanes and mash potatoes with butter, then later still had the ice cream and cookies. Am I eating too much fat during Evenings? Thanks guys for any help...

Damon AmatoParticipantI'd halve the dextrose in your PWO. Are you not a pork person? Turkey bacon is low fat, kind of the opposite effect you want.

jp5056GuestThanks… I do take my dextrose with the post workout shake… Do I need to take it with later meals? I might do the real bacon, we just had a lot of turkey bacon left in fridge and that is why I have been cooking it in olive oil, trying to fatten it up... No good? Need to eat the piggy?I guess I have been affraid of clogging the arteries...Any thoughts why I gained over 3lbs since yesterday or just should I not worry?

nickl413MemberI wouldn't cook anything in olive oil. It apparently fills fat cells quickly and easily. Throw the turkey bacon out. Its garbage. Eat the stuff everyone tells you not to eat. Butter, bacon, red meat, heavy cream etc. Maybe you should take a day or two off and see how you look/feel/weigh after that.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorWeight you loss in prep phase is mostly water, weight you gain the day after backloading is mostly water. Don't worry about it.Agree on cutting out olive oil, if you use it that use it raw in some salads here and there, but never cook in it.Cook in coconut oil, lard, butter, or Ghee, and saturated fat when clog your arteries. In fact you'd be more likely to end up with clogged arteries from using mostly vegetable oils.

Damon AmatoParticipantIf you're fat phobic, this is not going to work well for you.

+1You can really be phobic of any food.Food is a tool, use it the right tool for the job and reach your goal.

Craig jonesParticipantYeah animal fats are the preferred fat here. Monounsaturates are the body's preferred fat for storing so these types of fat like olive oil should be rare in your diet.Eat plenty of fat it's pivotal!

jp5056GuestThanks guys! I will stop the oLive oil immediately. I will use coconut oil or butter. I guess I missed the "no olive oil" thing I'm the book...I don't feel fat phobic by becoming fat, but I guess I just wonder about the long term health repercussions. Mainly, cholesterol, liver problems or clogged arteries Eventhough on the outside I might looked ripped... So, do you guys feel that eating that much fat and saturated fat followed by so much simple sugars at night won't negatively affect these things? If not, I'm in!... Gonna lift heavy and eat blubber 🙂

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorI don't think so.There is a doctor here that posted some of his risk marks and they have all gone down.I think he is doing CNS right now, but still. The no olive oil isn't in the book, Kiefer has been saying to use almost all animal fats (+coconut oil) for awhile, but he just recently gave us more info as to why here on the forums.

Looks good to me, just make sure your fat is at least equivalent in mass as to mass of protein. More fat = better/less insulin response

That is true. Plus fiber is always recommended by Kiefer for the ULC portions/days
