bentunneyKeymasterI'm looking to get my supplements in line while in my prep phase and had a quick question about whey/casein hydrolysate. For those experienced, how important is it in the CBL plan? PWO, intra-workout, and with each carb meal call for them in the book.Whey isolate, casein, Leucine, creatine, and fish oil are easy and rather inexpensive supps with this plan. The expense (not to mention the taste) of hydro whey/casein makes me ask the question.thanks

Craig jonesParticipantKiefer has been asked a similar question before regarding the expense. The leucine and isolate would take preference if you where to have to choose. Hydrolysate tastes terrible doesn't it. I was surprised how bad!

Remember with isolates you also need to use less and get more bang for your buck. A lot of isolates have hydrosylates added to them. Huge fan of Pepto Pro myself.

Remember with isolates you also need to use less and get more bang for your buck. A lot of isolates have hydrosylates added to them. Huge fan of Pepto Pro myself.
1st up, man up on the taste :). I agree with the others in the fact that you can get by with the whey isolate and leucine BUT...I can say that after using pepto pro I can without a doubt notice a difference in the amount of time it takes for me to recover from a training session.

Hydrosylates and leucine are gross, but they aren't unbearable. I still think it is orders of magnitude easier to drink a hydrolyzed whey + leucine shake (I've done it, it's really not that bad) than it is to choke down liver! Eat some liver, EVERYTHING tastes good compared to that.
