lnagiMemberNot entirely sure, can u still workout in 10 day prep phase?

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorYes you can.You might have to bring back the volume depending on what you are doing right now. Also, don't be stuck in the "I have to do this" mind set. If you feel good, train, if you feel like shit, stay home to eat and sleep.

Tanner FoxParticipantAgreed, I would still train. During this time it was understood my energy and strength levels might not be 100%, and I accepted it. But getting SOME work in is better than nothing and could potentially decrease your glycogen stores faster, therefore speeding up the process. The prep phase is for CBL, and CBL is designed for performance minded athletes, which are FAR from the norm. With that being said, a NORMAL person would probably not train during this time, but then again a NORMAL person most likely wouldn't be doing CBL.

JizzmoGuesti think you'd give your body a hard time to adapt to using fat as fuel efficiently by NOT working out…

jamestkirkGuestIf you're feeling like crap don't bother working out. You'll tax your central nervous system (cns) and ultimately put more stress onto your body which would release a cascade of catabolic hormones starting with cortisol. Adapting to a fat metabolism from a glucose metabolism is already enough stress on your body. If you feel OK working out, keep your lefts to 50-60% of what you normally do. You want to do enough to deplete your remaining glycogen stores but not enough to burnout your cns. I wouldn't workout at all during the prep phase. Let your body adjust to burning fat, then hit the weights.
