Hey guys, I found some Kerrygold Dubliner at my local Whole Foods for super cheap, and I was wondering–I'm on Carb Nite now, and it's zero carb, but I've heard various things about “if you stall out with fat loss the first thing you should cut out is cheese”.  Does this apply here and should it be used in moderation or what exactly is the deal?  It's salted unfortunately, but that shouldn't stall fat loss, only weight loss if anything I would assume.  It's so damn good I can see myself eating at least a pound of it a day if I get the green light.  What say you to the cheese DH community?-Adam

Yeah I guess I should've asked why that would happen if it does?  I can see it being mildly inflammatory due to the pasteurization, but that's about it.  -Adam

In the last podcast Kiefer discussed that some, I don't remember all of it, but the short of it is it affects appetite regulation.

It's not one that's up on the site yet, I think it was 14. The last one posted about in the biojacked forums

Definitely does something to the appetite.  Had 1.5 lbs of it today and feel like I could have at least 1 more.  Think I'm gonna cut it out before things get ugly.  Denatured casein probably isn't too great anyways…-Adam

Hey Adam! I am a cheese fanatic and the Dubliner is one of my favorites! But like you...I can eat it all day everyday.  I had to cut back because I was face raping ounce after ounce daily!  Now, I allow myself once every two weeks to eat my cheeses and hit up the cheese section at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or HEB. 🙂  It has to do something to the appetite because eating it alone causes me to only want to eat more.

Yeah I had a pound of it on the 10 minute walk home from Whole Foods for breakfast.  Think I'm done with it period.  Something about the denatured casein must seriously be addicting (there's some debate on whether or not it actually acts as an opiod in the brain).-Adam

Love that cheese, and I eat it and other cheeses without issue. I think the problem happens when you start using cheese as a primary fat source and not as filler

Thanks IJ.  When you say problems, what problems would these be?  Also, when you say you eat it, how much a day we talkin' here?  Full-on fiend status or just a nibble here and there?  Also, I've noticed in the last two days since I cut it out I've slimmed down again and my appetite is way more controlled, I'm curious though--I don't see why would using it as the primary fat source should be an issue, since the milk it comes from should be extremely high on CLA.-Adam

Much prefer grain-feed cheetah, but only if the feed is organic, of course.
