Long story short: im btoke and cant afford to buy supps especially protein and carb powders. My backloads are usually white rice and some meat only. I know you should typically down a pwo shake immediately after training but thats a no go for me, if so, how do you guys think i should go by consuming my white rice (300g carbs) in terms of timing and quantity? Your help would be very much appreciated. And yes im so broke that i have to power down that many plain white rice.

You can still get good results w/o supps.Moar white rice! Just eat as much as you can when you get back after your workout (assuming you workout at 3-6pm ish)How about potatoes too? add hot sauce/salsa/tomato sauce? Make rice pudding? Whatever it takes you let you get more carbs in.Milk PWO for the insulin spike perhaps? Also, ripe bananas for PWO are an option too. skimmed milk powder?Just throwing ideas out there.

Potatoes are great to use and they are still cheap. If you get anything that is along the lines of a supplement, get dextrose. It's dirt cheap, and perfect for backloading, add it to rice to make rice pudding and you can put down tons of carbs.

I really thought the title of this thread had something to do with “carb back mountain.”

Lol I made that title so I would get more attention. I thought I'd put in Broke Back Loading but that would garner a different kind of attention haha.Anyway, I have no problem with with the amount, I'm ~145-150lbs 15%ish so 300g carbs is kinda enough and I can finish it before feeling full. And being asian, I am fully trained to chow down copious amounts of rice since birth, they are also dirt cheap, in fact the cheapest highGI food at my arsenal. So to clarify, does it matter when I consume my rice PWO? Like do I have to wait 1 hour or something or do I chow down immediately? Thanks!

I thought grapefruits were a no-no on CBL. (Its probably not a good joke if you have to explain it but its a little Kai Greene humour 😉  )

go for it as soon as you can assuming you don't drink a PWO shake.
