It's higher than the one from eggs. Maybe that's the reason why some people are stalling on CNS when they have cheese in their diet?!
I've cut it out as my skin has been looking “fuller” lately. I'm pretty lean, full 6 pack non tensed etc so it's pretty easy for me to know when something has affected my body as I can see the difference the next day. I've cut out cheese and also dropped the Spanish/Italian meats because of their salt content and I've noticed quite a difference. Whether the cheese has been causing an insulin spike too I'm not sure but it certainly has a noticeable difference on how I look.
However, some protein and fat-rich foods (eggs, beef, fish, lentils, cheese, cake, and doughnuts) induced as much insulin secretion as did some carbohydrate-rich foods (eg, beef was equal to brown rice and fish was equal to grain bread).
Beef steak (158g): 7.7g fat and 42g protein. (Table 2)That is NOT fat-rich imo.
I always add extra fat to my meat. Usually chunks of butter after frying it in coconut oil. Sometimes a shot of double cream too if I'm not sure I got enough fats!
