I have family in town for Easter and I don’t know what to do because I know I will end up having like 2 or 3 CNs in a row. Should I just be good and do 1 CN and then be good for the rest of the time or just do it and do the reorientation once done?

    Thanks,

I’d simply move your normal CN to Easter when the big get-together is happening.

While they are in town I would just try and stay as ULC as possible, if you have any say in what food gets cooked, suggest items that are easy to make ULC. Examples: Hamburgers, steak, fajitas, or tacos.

Totally up to you, check out the pizza place tonight before hand and see what else they serve. Generally a lot of pizza places has other options, like a salad, or even a hamburger. I would eat before you go in both cases, and then look for something that fits into your ULC day. Or make easter an ULC day since you can probably get some BBQ that is sauceless and full of meaty goodness.

There’s a will, there’s a way. 🙂 Or, of course, do what you first suggested and just enjoy your weekend, you can always do reorientation afterwards. I find it easy to work around family and keep it ULC even when going out, but that doesn’t mean others have the same ease as I do. Do what feels best for you, good luck, and no matter what you decide, it’ll be fine. So don’t worry about it too hard.

Are you lifting? If so, just train hard in the afternoons and enjoy your weekend.

Actually, either way I’d just say enjoy your family time and weekend. But training is fun… so I’d still say do that. 😉

Rough gig – were it me (and I’ll be in this situation myself in May, only it’ll be for two weeks aieeeee!) I’d just eat whatever with my family while trying not to eat like an idiot and pig out like crazy. I’d/I’ll do my best to keep carbs as low as I can during the day and keep them to “when it’s dark” if at all possible. Then I’d/I’ll reorient when it’s over.

Well I ended up having 2 CN’S and kept it calm and didn’t pig out. Today I did a 30 minute session of HIIT and may do another tomorrow and lift heavy on Wednesday and Friday and do a CN on Saturday. Anyone’s thoughts on this plan?
