    Hello!! Just started CNS on 3/26 by carb nite I was down 6 pounds. But after this Saturdays carb nite I’m up 2 pounds, I know I need to give this time……and I’ve read the book and knew this could happen. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. BTW my husband lost 12 pounds in the first 9 1/2 days but is also up 2 since carb nite. We will continue on CNS. There is so much information to learn and some of it can get pretty confusing and or contradict somethings I have previously heard or read. Hope the forum will help answer any questions or concerns that come up along the way.

    Just continue with Carb Nite, it makes a lot of sense that you guys are up a few lbs after eating a bunch of carbs and storing glycogen and water in your muscles. You should keep in mind that’s all that weight is, stored glycogen and water weight. You did not gain 2lbs of fat from your carb nite, it simply didn’t happen. You should see these 2lbs disappear before your next CN. I would suggest only weighing yourself the morning before you start eating carbs, and if you guys are doing CN once a week, then you only weigh once a week. Do not weigh yourself the day or two after CN unless you can handle seeing the scale jump up a bit. It’s OKAY, it happens.

    Just keep your weighing to the morning before and use that to track your progress.

    Welcome!!! YES, listen to Spatz. I was up 3.2 this week and it is gone with 2 days to spare before CN. 🙂
