Powergirl36MemberHey everyone!Crazy stuff this AM. Okay I had my fist backload ever last night (to the tune of around 5000 calories and 350 grams of sugar) and............................... I lost weight.Yeah, crazy, right?! I cut carbs for the Prep and gain weight, and gorge on sugar and lose weight. Wow, life is good. Lol. And yes I ate till I felt like I was going to hurl, as thats what your supposed to do, right? 😉Question about food now that I'm backloading. I read from one of Keifers articles on the website that he said it's good to bump your fat to the end of the day and just eat primarily protein in the AM, pre workout... I was planning on having my 1 TBSP heavy cream and 1 TBSP coconut oil in my coffee this AM (because I love it), but then I was going to have a chicken breast and veggies before my workout at 4PM. After I plan on devouring a whole pizza and some chocolate covered bananas. Not going too crazy today as I got that out of my system yesterday and am having some straches ie the pizza.... not just sugar. But does this food intake look good?

tzanghiParticipantChicken breast is a little too lean pre workout. Make sure you get some fats in there so as to limit the insulin increase. This is where the whole 1:1 ratio came from. You don't wanna raise insuline Pre-WO, only post.

Powergirl36MemberAhh I see… the only reason I questioned that is because of what Keifer said about keeping fat to the end of the day… http://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/1733/hi-tech-nutrient-conversion-lessons-for-carb-back-loading/

I read that article a little while ago, but I thought he was saying that in the context of the backload itself. Keep fat towards the end of the backload, not the end of the day. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but that was my understanding.

Your not wrong at all. Kiefer was talking about in the backload. Start out with a lean protein (chicken, fish, protein powder) and a simple carb like white sticky rice. Then later start with the fat. Switch the chicken breast with beef or BACON. Thank me later

Powergirl36MemberOkay! I will swap the chicken breast with chicken wings when I can get to the store. (I'm sorry but bacon makes me ill) :/ 🙂 Would starting out my backload with a scoop of protein powder and a nerds rope be okay?

Powergirl36MemberAnd can I have a container of cottage cheese or greek yogurt right before bed?
