Hi all,I recently bought both books by Kiefer and raring to start! This morning I read a Q&A article in the Sept 2012  'Muscle and Fitness' (UK edition) - See attachmentAs I'm very new to Kiefers concepts, this kind of confused me. They made no reference to Kiefer or his book and even more importantly the reseach that Kiefer did in writing this protocol. They(the writers of this Q&A) do refer to some research to bolster their opinion.I would really like to know what Kiefer's thoughts are on this...

The first guy is completely wrong when he says the morning is the best time to eat carbs in the morning.  He did not mentioned that cortisol levels are highest in the morning.  It is well known that insulin + cortisol = fat.Kiefer would wipe the floor with these guys.

Even worse, Dmunnee, they are stating his work is pretty much built on false assumptions and will make you fatter than ever.

“What a diet should focus on is avoiding the blunting of fat-burning that is caused by insulin"morning is actually the best time to increase your carb (and calorie) intake. Not only is enhanced insulin function (as occurs in the morning) associated with less fat storage"A bit contradictory, no?

CBL = weight gain 1st critique;CBL = weight gain, and is based on individuality; cop-out answer.Well it means more for us; let the rest of these naive gurus think what they want. They are the reason our world is full of overweight sedentary people looking for pills. This explains the U.K. and the Olympics ;).

You have to keep in mind that these guys want to sell magazines.  CBL basically turns a lot of the nutritional advice that they offer in these magazines upside down, so it should come as no surprise when they try to write it off as flawed.
