    Any tips for eliminating the bad mood and headaches I get during the low carb portion of carb backloading? Besides excess amounts of caffeine…

    Try having some fats with your meals or more of it.

    Well, bulletproof coffee is one thing you can try. In my case, I make my own budgetproof coffee (grad student here): I add coconut oil and stevia to the coffee. It taste just like coffee but thicker. If it is still not enough, add more tablespoons in. I started with 2 and now I have four. Perhaps even more can be necessary. This is trial & error.

    As Big tex said, more fats tend to help. Could you add in some Avocados, Eggs, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Nuts, MCT Oil etc into your diet maybe?
