BrianBellittoMemberSo there are some non training days when I can't cook meat or veggies, so I snack on almonds, honey roasted peanuts and jerky to keep my diet under 30 carbs without going hungry for most of the day.I keep hearing not to eat this stuff while doing CBL but is it going to negatively affect me at all?

dash102MemberOnly if you are trying to lose fat, try to stay away from plant based fats.

Yeah I am trying to lose fat and lean out, I am only having a couple of handfuls of peanuts or almonds throughout the day so that I am not hungry. I work in a restaurant where everything that I'd be allowed to eat has tons of carbs, It sucks! I'll eat meat and animal fats if I have time on my break and when i get home late at night but working doubles at a restaurant where I'm constantly offered food with carbs is the hardest part of this haha.Would jerky also be a bad idea for snacking?

Dr. Rocky PatelParticipantif you work at a restaurant, they have to have meat, right? Snack on that. jerky would be ok, but not much fat with it so you would need to eat it with some butter or CO

Yeah I try to have them cook me meat whenever they can but its not always an option.I already do coconut oil in my coffee in the morning. I was eating jerky and eating the nuts after to add some fat. Is a small portion of both enough to impede progress on losing fat you think?

Can you order a burger? If you can toss the bun. I know what you mean though. I worked in resturant and they typically don't let you order a steak or a half decent meal. All you can usually get is sandwiches and other finger foods.

Yeah, I work at a mid eastern restaurant so my go to meal is usually schwarema or kefta with some vegetables and some tahini for fat, but mostly everything else is all carbs. I'm going to cut down on the jerky and nuts as snacks this week and just try to hold out for my break and after i get out of work at night.
